We made it safely across Lake Michigan on Labor Day. We experienced 2 to 3 foot following seas....and surfed into Sheboygen. Unfortunately many things were closed in Sheboygen, but Parker Johns BBQ was open so we had dinner there. We spent the next couple of nights at Port Washington - very cute town. We really like it there.....nice marina, good walking location and a beautiful catholic church. The next 2 nights brought us to Kenosha, WI where we stayed at Southport Marina. We visited our previous boat Grand Mariner and its new owners Craig and Nancy. They are loving the boat. We had a wonderful dinner with them at the Hob Nob Supper Club overlooking beautiful Lake Michigan. Its Saturday, September 10th, and we are now headed to the Chicago area for 5 nights and plan to enter the river system on Thursday, September 15th. There's lots of Loopers heading that way, we hope to be a little behind the pack going down the rivers. One week of looping is in the books.....we have had great weather and are learning more about the boat and how to live on it.......together!!!! We continue to meet "loopers" in every marina and have enjoyed a couple large "docktail" gatherings in Frankfort, MI and Port Washington, WI. Chicago here we come!
