Boat Repairs and Side Trips.....

rlehardt

We made it to Safe Harbor Aqua Yachts in Iuka, MS on Tuesday 11/1. We were able to get our props fixed and oil change completed. Robin went back to TC for a long weekend to see family and dogs and to help get some of the fall cleanup done before snow hit. It was great to see everyone and to take a nice and long hot shower! I miss those! John stayed on the boat and enjoyed time by himself and got caught up on some work related stuff. John picked me up from the Nashville Airport on Monday, 11/7 and we spent two nights in Nashville. We visited the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, walked Broadway Street and stopped in several bars to listen to country or rock-n-roll music. Our favorite bar was Kid Rocks Honky Tonk Rock-N-Roll Steakhouse. They had some great bands and drinks there! That evening we went to the Grand Ole Opry. The show presented 8 different performers in about 2 ½ hours. The most well known performers were The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and Lee Brice. It was a great show (packed with 4,000 people on a Tuesday night!). We got everything ready back on the boat on Wednesday and headed out Thursday morning to start our 450 mile trek down the Tennessee-Tombigbee to the Gulf of Mexico. Looking forward to getting into warmer weather and checking out the Florida Pandhandle. Hopefully hurricane season is finished!
